A Debate and Poster making Competition on 7th November 2022

Medical education came under spotlight with the Madras High Court judgement in February 2022 when the High Court directed that medical education be immediately overhauled and sensitively respond to health care needs to LGBTQIA+ communities.

CEHAT has been consistently engaged with medical teachers to integrate an intersectional and gender lens since the last 8 years.

While the dialogue training and engagement with medical educators has been a consistent method of sensitising, we are now directly engaging with young minds - medical students.

It is with this aim that Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Institute, students along with CEHAT is organising a series of engagements such as debates, group discussion and poster competition amongst others to increase an understanding about gender non binary people. The debate and poster competition will be held on 7th November 2022 at the college campus.
