Research

The overall objective of research is to assess the Physical and Clinical standards of care in the private sector in Maharashtra and to develop standards and protocols for the assessment of physical and clinical care to facilitate the process of self-regulation and accreditation of private medical sector. A primary research study has been conducted in 267 private nursing homes in 11 districts of Maharashtra including Mumbai.The selected districts are Thane, Ratnagiri, Pune Satara, Osmanabad, Aurangabad, Amravati, Gadchiroli, Nasik and Nandurbar. The study was conducted to assess the situation of the quality of care provided in the 0-30 bedded private nursing homes. Data collection is completed; the data is now being analyzed and report writing in progress.
