Mapping Interventions Addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) In Public Spaces In India

Through this project, CEHAT intends to study the existing intervention landscape of GBV in public space in India. The overall objective is to explore how state and civil society organisations approach, intervene, and assess efforts to address gender-based violence in public spaces. Despite years of sustained efforts in the field, there is limited literature on what works to address GBV in public spaces. CEHAT is taking this opportunity to identify and study these interventions in detail, and collaboratively arrive at a set of common indicators to assess their progress across diverse approaches. The mapping outcomes will be useful for international and state agencies, organisations, and grassroots collectives working on the issue of GBV in public spaces for more robust programming and evidence building on the issue.
