This report consists of findings of one of the two household based studies conducted under Abortion Assessment Project India (AAP-I) in Maharashtra. The main objective of the survey was to study pregnancy outcome analytically in the state with a focus on abortion incidence, care received and costs incurred. The study aims at providing inputs to society at large and to different stakeholders including policy makers to facilitate women's access to safe, legal and affordable abortion care services.
