1. Vacancy for Research Associate on the project “Pehel: Dilaasa” at CEHAT

The focus of this project is to institutionalise domestic violence as a public health concern and build the capacity of hospital staff and systems to respond to the health needs of the victims and survivors of domestic violence. CEHAT has established a core group of trainers at 5 BMC hospitals to carry out training on addressing gender-based violence within the health-care setting to staff at various levels. The core groups of these hospitals form a unit called ‘Training Cell’.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifying, designing and planning the activities for the ‘Training Cell’
  • Organizing and assisting trainings on the issue of Domestic Violence
  • Co-ordination and execution of all the activities related to the training cell
  • Co-ordinating activities related to Dilaasa – Management Information System
  • Assisting interventions for survivors of sexual assault

Qualification

Post Graduate in social work / social sciences AND / OR preferably 1-year experience in trainings

Knowledge and Skills

Sound understanding on the issue of violence against women Good analytical and documentation skills Excellent computer proficiency Fluency in Marathi and English / Hindi

Preferences

Candidates with experience/knowledge in training on the issue of Domestic Violence would be preferred.

Graduate with min 3 years experience in similar position and good computer knowledge, fluency in English, good drafting skills, knowledge of MS Office packages and Tally 9.2 essential.
